I'm totally digging the grooviness of vintage sunburst clocks and mirrors right now. I love the combination of teak and brass rays on this one, the fact that it takes an AA battery instead of having an ugly dangling cord like a lot of similar midcentury models, and especially the fact that it's an impressive 27 inches in diameter.

I've been on the hunt for a vintage sunburst clock/mirror for over two years. The only thing that has been keeping me from buying is the ugly cord you mentioned. Thanks for the ebay find!
My parents had that clock (well, not THAT clock, but one just like it) when I was a kid. I think the starburst part got broken at some point, though.
