Reminiscent of the vintage Kaiser Idell and European counterbalance task lights I often stalk on eBay, Anthropologie's industrial-chic Enzo Floor Lamp has me drooling.
It's $398 right here.

Objects of Lust: Victoria Morris Pottery
Inspired by both Scandinavian and Japanese traditions, Los Angeles ceramic artist Victoria Morris creates beautifully subtle, organic pottery that recalls a midcentury aesthetic and yet feels utterly modern.

Morris's pieces are available through L.A.'s OK Store (where the hand-thrown vases above run $65 to $195 apiece) and Zelen.
Check out more of her work right here.

Objects of Lust: Anna Sykora Ceramics
The minute I saw these, I fell hard. I mean, yum.
Handcrafted by Berlin ceramist Anna Sykora from Limoges porcelain, each piece is covered in a fine layer of earth-based terra sigillata clay that Sykora mixes herself before being inscribed with a delicate pattern and fired at ultra-high temperature.

Available in a variety of colors and patterns, the bowls are 40 to 44 euros (about $56 to $62), the vases are 198 euros ($278), and the platters are 120 to 190 euros ($169 to $267) from Craft2Eu.
See more of Sykora's work here.

Object of Lust: San Francisco Terrain Sculpture
Is there a place in the world that's captured your imagination, that inspires you daily, and that holds a place in your heart equal to no other?
For Conor Fennessy, that place is San Francisco. His San Francisco Terrain sculpture depicts the unique topography of his beloved City by the Bay, simply and beautifully, in pure white gypsum.
It's $175 framed and ready to hang, or $275 with its own stand direct from Fennessy or at San Francisco's Jak Home boutique.

Objects of Lust: Bus Sign Wingback Chairs
The transit sign trend has finally made its way onto furniture: These leather wingback chairs from Sydney design company Davidmet Nicole have been upholstered with authentic vintage English and Australian bus scroll signs.
They're a mere £3,995 apiece (about $6,083) from London's Atelier Abigail Ahern (where the red turned-wood side table also pictured above is a relative bargain at £1,500, or about $2,284).

Objects of Lust: Yellow Goat Lighting
Though they're likely named after the shelters for a completely different creature, these delicate metal and natural-reed Coop Pendants from Australia's Yellow Goat Design remind me of antique Japanese fishing traps. I think I'd like one for every room in the house.
Or maybe what I really want are these vaguely kelp-like Pequeno Pendants.
Or perhaps these organic modern Wicker Pod Doubles ...
See all of Yellow Goat's out-of-this-world lighting right here. No idea about pricing, but I'd hazard a guess that they cost a pretty penny. Anyone feel like buying a few for me?

Objects of Lust: Carved Wood Mushrooms
I started salivating the second I saw these handcarved wooden mushrooms from France at San Francisco's Battersea (aka, the retail showroom for hot SF interior designer Will Wick).
Measuring a substantial 12 to 39 inches, they're available for $685 to $3,000 apiece (I know -- dream on, right?) here.

Objects of Lust: Patricia Urquiola Tropicalia Collection
If I had an estate on Santorini, I would buy a few dozen of these Tropicalia Chairs, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Italian company Moroso, to arrange on the all-white pool deck. And then my fabulous, jet-setting friends and I would lounge in them all day, sunning ourselves while the tanned and beautiful houseboy brought us tray after tray of canapés and cocktails.
Oh, to dream ...

Objects of Lust: Jayson Home & Garden Fantasy Shopping Spree
Sorry I am so, so late with this post today -- I have an awful flu complete with ear infection and ruptured eardrum, the pain of which made childbirth pale in comparison. Nick, bless his heart, got the kids off to school this morning so I could sleep until the absolutely unheard of hour of noon. (He is the best nurse, and his kindness and patience with me makes my crankiness and impatience during his own recent bout with this virus all the more unforgivable.)
Anyway, to distract myself from my clogged head, aching body, and hacking cough, I indulged in a little fantasy shopping spree at Chicago's sublime Jayson Home & Garden, putting together a virtual ladies' salon that's equal parts refined and romantic.
The elements, clockwise from top left: Caravan Chandelier, $1,295; Lotus Flower Dishes, $24 to $48 each; Antique Carved Mirror, $11,995; Barnard Lamp, $575; Vintage French Chair, $1,150; Cerise Pillow, $315; Frank Table, $3,695; Faux Zebra Hide Rug, $1,095; Amalfi Sofa, $2,316; Vintage Wooden Shoes, $295; Petrified Wood Table, $1,495; Moroccan Wedding Blanket, $795; and Factory Light Sculptures, $85 to $225 each
The grand total for my fantasy space? A mere $25,703. Le sigh ...

Objects of Lust: Dan Golden Rugs
I spotted these rugs from designer Dan Golden on the always-awesome Design Crisis yesterday, and promptly choked on my coffee.
I really don't have anything intelligent to say about them other than, "OMG, how freakin' kick-ass are these?" Above: Morphine
Keep Dogs Off Grass
So Long, Suckahs!
Financially Abundant
Crazy New Shit
The hand-tufted New Zealand wool rugs range in price from $2,880 to $12,960. So yeah -- keep dreamin'.

Objects of Lust: Sarah Becker Ceramics
I spotted Sarah Becker's ceramic hearts last week while I was browsing in San Francisco's very own Cabinet of Curiosities, Valencia Streets' Paxton Gate, and was immediately drawn to them.
There's something about the delicate hearts enmeshed within a forest of thorny, foreboding protuberances that seems to simultaneously say, "Enter at Your Peril" and "Scarred But Still Beating." They're dangerous and vulnerable.
Of course, Becker also makes more straightforward, ready-to-hang hearts for the slightly less morbidly romantic among us. She'll create custom pieces as well.
When I looked up her website, I was equally intrigued by the ceramist's bird-and-antler sculptures, which strike a delicate balance between the wild and the refined.
In addition to Paxton Gate, you can find Becker's pieces at San Francisco's Flora Grubb Gardens and Habit. Prices for the hearts start at $225, while the antlers are $250 and up.
Check out more of Becker's ceramic art right here.

Object of Lust: Rowpinto Antique Lace Cushion
Flannel Grey Antique Lace Cushion, £95 (about $135) from London knitwear designer Rowena Pinto. Le sigh ...
(If you sew, replicating this pillow actually seems like a fairly do-able DIY project: Old wool sweater, grandma's lace, vintage buttons, pillow insert -- done.)

Objects of Lust: Missoni Throws
It's cold, wet, and dreary here today, so I'm craving color and coziness. These delicious wool throws from iconic Italian design house Missoni fit the bill perfectly. (Even in flush times, I can't see spending quite so much on a blanket, no matter how lovely -- buy hey, it doesn't cost a cent to feast the eyes, right? And if you're in the position to cough up some cash, one of these would make for a bold, colorful accent draped over the back of a chair or folded at the foot of a bed, even in warmer weather.) Above: Jamiro Throw, $410 from Bedding, Etc.
Humbert Cushions and Throws, $102 and $315 each from Bedding, Etc. (For those of us on a tight budget, IKEA's $20 Jorun Throw is a comparable -- though far less luxurious -- option.)
Kiruna Throw, $670 from Bedding, Etc.
Karlos Throw, $295 at Bedding, Etc.
Harpo Throw, $275 at Pillows and Throws

Object of Lust: Dandelion Clocks Wallpaper
I am sick with lust (sick, I tell you!) for this Dandelion Clocks Wallpaper from the venerable British company Sanderson.
Psst -- the cheerful pattern is also available in fabric. (And by "available," I mean available for purchase in England, Wales, and Scotland.)
Any U.K. readers out there willing to swing by John Lewis to pick up a roll or two for me? ;-)
