This petite teak chest of drawers has a slim, compact profile and great versatility. Use the Denmark-produced piece in an entrance hall, as a nightstand or side table, or tuck it up against a wall and top it with vintage-modern pottery or other retro accents.
(And if Danish Modern is your thing, be sure to check out the Los Angeles-based seller's other auctions.)
Current bid: $34.

ebay really seems to drive up the price of mid-century modern furniture, sometimes its better to be patient and wait till something good shows up on craigslist or at an estate sell
Hi LaDonna,
I agree -- it's best to buy locally when possible, and I've certainly snagged some fab things on craigslist.
In my area, tho, *everybody* wants MCM furniture and there are a million dealers snapping up the good stuff at estate sale previews (i.e. before the public can even get in). So for me, it's often cheaper to buy something on eBay and have it shipped.
Plus, you just can't beat the vast selection on eBay -- there are more, say, Danish credenzas listed at any given moment than would turn up on craigslist in my area in a year.
But I do buy locally as much as I can, and encourage others to do the same.
Thanks so much for writing in!
All the best,
Leah
Nevermind that chest! That art is outrageous! Love it! Have fun on your trip, Leah!
Cute blog! Real teak is a luxurious wood. I can't wait to see what other furniture you put in your apartment.
