I'm fascinated by these random bits of vintage ephemera. Who did it belong to? What became of him? Did this vintage wooden shoe form from Etsy seller Ursula -- beautiful in its aged, odd way -- spend its nights in a fancy wingtip or a shiny leather spat?
These mysterious relics from other lives and times gone by make great accessories, too. Not only are they conversation pieces, but they add interesting texture to a tabletop or bookshelf assemblage and bring a hint of personality and individuality to your space. I love how Ursula has used her collection of shoe lasts around her own home, for instance, as shown on her blog (above and below).
