I love these retro-cool fiberglass bullet planters. A small one stocked with yummy succulents would make a great centerpiece for the table, and a trio in graduated sizes would bring a dead corner to life.
Available in a rainbow of colors and from 16 to 30 inches tall, they're $150 to $160 each from Hip Haven.

Thank you so much for finding these! I've been looking for a short one to store fire logs in and was too late on the vintage one at a local shop and haven't had any luck on ebay. THANKYOU!!
Ooh! I have one, a tall turquoise one. My sister gave it to me at my bridal shower earlier this year. Had no idea what it was at first, even though I've seen them before and wanted one. I opened it and said, "and it's half a giant Easter egg...?"
However, I still haven't planted anything in it as we have awful light in this apartment, and nowhere to hang a grow light. Hmph. I need to get off my butt and figure out where to put it, especially now that we just got our fabulous Heywood Wakefield buffet for the living/dining room. I do kinda want a second, short one to sit next to it though. Would look so great, maybe in yellow...
Also--I have a tall one, but from the size of the bowl itself, which I think are all the same size, a small one would be really too big for the average dining table. Would look weird on my table, anyway, and it seats six.
