Etsy Find of the Day: Phunk Lab Custom Digital Portraits

Such a fun idea: Etsy seller Phunk Lab (aka Australian digital artist Fleur Northcote) will turn a regular snapshot into a personalized art piece that's printed on canvas and ready to hang.

For example:

This ...

... becomes this.

Though Phunk Lab specializes in "lovers' portraits," I think this deadpan, old-fashioned-style family portrait (a custom job for one of her customers) is kinda genius, too.

Just email Northcote a digital photo, and pick your background (newspaper, French poetry, or handwriting) and colors. In addition to a stretched canvas, you can also receive your portrait as a rolled canvas or a digital file that you can print yourself. Prices range from $55 for digital art only, $114 to $139 for a stretched canvas, and $89 to $199 for a rolled canvas (shipping included).

Find out more right here.

Fabulous - I want one! Have you seen the guy on Etsy who does modern silhouettes on book pages? Cheap and fun! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?
