Hudson Valley, New York ceramic artist Ayumi Horie has organized 27 talented claymasters to create Obamaware, a collection of 140 handmade pieces commemorating the 2008 Democratic presidential candidate.
The fundraiser will go live on eBay at 8 a.m. Pacific time today (Monday, October 20). Fifty percent of the auction proceeds will be donated to the Barack Obama/Joseph Biden campaign, and the winning bidders will own one-of-a-kind and highly collectible mementos from this historic election.

Wow I can't imagine the equivalent happening for a British election!! Our grandparents have plates with the Queen on them but that's about it-nothing anywhere near so cool!
