Cool Stuff: Tikoli Tea Towels

I've admired Tikoli's vibrant, modern textiles for a long time, but only just realized that the company is local -- in fact, Tikoli HQ is only a mile or so from my home (woo hoo, Oakland!).

I love Tikoli's exuberant colors and bold graphics, inspired by both midcentury design and Japanese textiles. Plus, there's just something about crisp new tea towel to refresh and brighten your kitchen. And unlike other kitchen upgrades, it won't take months or cost the better part of a year's salary.

The Tikoli towels on my wish list:

Plouf

Mummy

Fractil

(Psst -- you can also download these fresh, poppy patterns for your computer desktop.)

If you're in the area, pick up a Tikoli towel (or two) at Nathan + Co. in Oakland. If you live elsewhere, check for a retailer in your area or buy directly from Tikoli's online shop, where the towels are just $8.50 each.

Crazy! I'm so jealous that you live close to a retail spot. I'd love to see the patterns in person.

Great blog!
