I'm a total a sucker for nubby, natural linen -- and for graphic, botanical prints. Both of them together? Forget about it.

Inspiration: Making the Bed

Face it: We could all stand to have a little more fun in bed. (And, yes, feel free to read that any way you want.)

I spotted this great Flickr set called "Making the Bed" by jek in the box (aka the L.A. craft blogger behind Scrumdillydilly) on Shelterrific awhile back and have been meaning to share it here ever since.

Especially on these cold, dreary, mid-winter mornings, who wouldn't want to wake up to such bright and cheerful bedding?

Admittedly, I've always been a white sheets and nothing-but-white sheets kind of gal. But these delightful jolts of color are inspiring me to be a bit ... wilder in the bedroom.

Cool Stuff: Lotta Jansdotter Fabric Remnants

Grab yours quick: It-Girl textile designer Lotta Jandotter has just put up a selection of fabric remnants on her website.

Each remnant bag consists of four pieces of Jansdotter's distinctive screenprinted linen fabric, two measuring 18 by 18 inches and one each measuring 72 by 13 inches and 12 by 18 inches. Use the fabric to whip up a table runner, some throw pillows, kitchen towels, placemats, handbags ...

Jansdotter is also offering bags composed of at least five smaller remnants, good for quilting, fabric collage, patchwork designs, and so on.

Cool Stuff: Hammocks & High Tea

There's nothing like a crisp new tea towel or two to freshen up your kitchen, and I'm absolutely loving these pretty ones from Hammocks & High Tea. Printed with non-toxic, water-based ink on a blend of organic hemp and soy, the handmade, silkscreened 17-by-26-inch towels are just $13 each. (I might even grab a couple of extras to sew into a summery cushion cover.)
