The Artful Home: Jim Datz Brooklyn Poster

I'm flipping for this brand-new Brooklyn Poster from graphic designer and illustrator Jim Datz. (Our daughter was born at home in Cobble Hill during our two-year sojourn in NYC, and will forever be a Brooklyn girl.)

Combining typography, color, '50s-style illustration, and urban signage, the signed, limited-edition screenprint measures 16 by 24 inches and is printed on 100-percent recycled paper.

It's $48 exclusively at Three Potato Four, and makes a nice companion piece to Datz's Manhattan Poster, above. Check out more of Datz's work right here.

Cool Stuff: New at Three Potato Four

Lots of vintage cuteness just landed in everyone's favorite mom-and-pop e-shop, the Reston, Virginia-based Three Potato Four.

My faves:

British Bus Rollsign Route Numbers, $35 each

Miniature Green Bicycle, $40

Cash Register Price Flags, $8 each

Carpenter Wood Letters and Numbers, $8 each

Turquoise Cafeteria Tray, $48

Rx Metal Prescription File Boxes, $30 each

Old School Classroom Ruler, $80

Check out all of Three Potato Four's cherry-picked wares right here -- but don't dawdle, as they typically sell out in a flash.

Cool Stuff: Wood-and-Ceramic Apple Container

Speaking of Relish at Home, I stopped in yesterday to scope out the deals and wound up picking up this sweet, petite ceramic-and-wood apple vessel. (Sadly, I think I got the last one, but they're also available online from Three Potato Four.)

It has a small hole in the top to hold a tiny flower bud, or can be used to hide a small trinket inside. You can pick up one yourself for $18 right here.

eBay Find of the Day: Pear Dish

I am all about the pear right now: That shape, that yummy yellow-green color, the Scandinavian simplicity of it.

I'm in love with my Marimekko Paarya panel, and I was crushed when Victoria (of the wonderful sfgirlbybay blog) beat me to the awesome pear canister, right, from the new Three Potato Four shop. (I am so going to be haunting Victoria's Petite Flea in case she ever tires of it.)

But maybe I can still nab the great Pfalttzgraf pear dish, top, up for auction on eBay right now.

Current bid: $5.
