Cool Stuff: Dutch by Design

I was poking around on the Dutch by Design website, which features -- wait for it now -- the work of Dutch designers like Tord Boontje, Moooi, and Droog, and discovered a treasure trove of fun, reasonably priced, and unique gifts there:

Apple Bowl, $9

Cheese Board, $15

Melamine Mix & Measure Bowls, $18 to $28 each

Birds Salt and Pepper Set, $25

Silhouette Bird Clock, $29

Rack Oh Deer Coat Hooks, $29

Bird Houses, $30 each

Bird Print Cup Set, $35

Muurbloem Tiles Clock, $35

Back in Time Radio Alarm Clock, $45

See all the wares at the Dutch by Design site right here.

I love DbD! I have their gypsy chandelier (bottom center in the grid), but I want to warn anyone from the US not to buy any light fixtures from there as they are UK based. It cost me $60 to have the chandelier rewired and it took the electrician 3 hours to install it. These lights are *not* designed for use in US homes, alas. Despite all this, the chandelier looks amazing in my dining room (painted with Benjamin Moore's Evening Dove, a dark slate blue).
