Cool Stuff: Soji Solar Lanterns

Spotted in the latest issue of Sunset magazine: Soji Modern Solar Lanterns.

Modeled after the classic Le Klint pendants from Danish designer Poul Christiansen, these 9-by-9-inch molded lanterns are equipped with two amber LED lights and a solar panel that collects light from the sun during the day, and then automatically illuminates the lanterns once dusk falls.

Hook them over a tree branch or suspend them from a garden structure, and you'll be set for those balmy summer evenings (you know they're coming!) outdoors.

Available in three patterns, the Soji Lanterns are $40 apiece from Allsop Garden.

I actually just saw these in Sunset Magazine! So cool. I checked out their site and they have a ton of other cool solar lanterns but these are my favorite. Www.allsopgarden.com

Hi! I am Jamey from Allsop Home & Garden, co-creator of the Soji Modern solar lantern. Thank you so much for blogging about our new lights, we are "delighted" with them and hope that everybody will get out and enjoy the great outdoors with them this Spring!

Beautiful! They'd be perfect for my mom's backyard (or mine, if I had one...). Thanks for sharing the word!

They're the same design as our dining room pendant so I wonder if that won't look redundant out the window. May be a chance I'm willing to take.
