Created to great acclaim in 2004 by French design duo Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra, these interconnectible plastic algae-like blooms can be used to create an unusual and textural room divider, window hanging, or decorative element.

Lately I've been noticing more and more products -- from tableware to lighting and flooring -- created from laser-cut felt.

It's such an interesting juxtaposition: The fuzzy, woolly, wintry felt gives weight, warmth, and earthiness to the delicate, even ethereal laser-cut designs.

eBay Find of the Day: Vintage Room Divider

This three-panel wooden screen has such presence. It'd look gorgeous used as a room divider, as an object d'art against an expanse of wall, as a colorful backdrop for a reading chair and lamp, or even as an unusual headboard tucked behind the head of a bed.

I love the vibrant aqua color and the delicate scrollwork on the top of each panel. Such a great piece.
