The Artful Home: Su Blackwell's Book-Cut Sculptures

British artist Su Blackwell's paper sculptures take my breath away. Painstakingly cut from vintage books, Blackwell's magical and incredibly intricate and delicate 3D paper sculptures literally free the characters and settings from the printed page, while also reflecting on "the precariousness of the world we inhabit and the fragility of our life, dreams, and ambitions," as the artist says.
