A bit of affordable art to brighten your day: New York City painter Jennifer Sanchez has two new prints available at 20x200. Sanchez's pieces "are best described as exploding optimism ... unabashedly happy and full of bright colors, circles and swirls. She's passionate about depicting emerging spaces that explore the intangibility of space."
NY.08.#06 (top) and NY.08.#14 (above) are $20 each for 8-by-11.5-inch prints, or $50 each for 11-by-14-inch prints.

The Artful Home: Ian Carpenter at 20x200
Today's limited-edition offering from print-release site 20x200: Chamonix by Brooklyn, New York painter Ian Carpenter.
I love the colors and the abstract, modern rendering of a mountain village -- and I especially love being introduced to exciting new artists and having the opportunity to collect their work in an affordable way week after week!
Each 8.5-by-11-inch print, part of a limited run of 200, is just $20 right here. Check out more of Carpenter's work here.

The Artful Home: Laura Levine at 20x200
This week's offering from Jen Bekman's 20x200 online print gallery: Laura Levine's Birds of the Pacific Northwest painting on a background of vintage trading stamps.
An 8.5-by-11-inch, limited-edition print is $20, while the even-more-limited 17-by-22-inch version is $200.
Levine, it turns out, is a quadruple-threat: Her illustrations have appeared in prestigious publications like The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, and Rolling Stone.
She's also a noted rock photographer, whose iconic portraits of everyone from Madonna to Joey Ramone have graced the covers of such magazines as Spin and Interview.
She makes documentary films.
And she runs an "antique emporium and odditorium" called Mystery Spot in the Catskill Mountains.
Take a closer look at Birds of the Pacific Northwest here, and check out more of Levine's work right here.

The Artful Home: Aili Schmeltz at 20x200
I'm a little late to the party on this one, but I'm captivated by the current 20x200 print release, "Radar," from artist Aili Schmeltz.
Depicting the two sides of modern-day Los Angeles -- "plush, manicured landscape[s] in an otherwise desert geography ... the blatant artifice of [a place where] hill-top homes float precariously on earth that has a topographical complexity of embedded catastrophe" -- the piece embodies Schmeltz's "love/hate relationship" with L.A. (Who among us can't relate to that?)
Luckily, it looks like there are still plenty of these prints left. An 8.5-by-11-inch version (from a limited edition of 200) costs $20 and a 17-by-22-inch print (from an edition of 20) will run you $200. (Hence the name 20x200.)
Check out "Radar" right here, and see more of Schmeltz's work here.
