The Artful Home: Valero Doval at BlueFlip Art

Some great new prints (including Japanese Poster No. 3, above) from Valero Doval just went up at BlueFlip Art.

Doval, who was raised in Spain but now resides in London, is an illustrator who has exhibited in Europe and has done commercial work for clients such as Paul Smith, Timberland, and Volkswagen. I really like the combination of retro imagery and delicate handwork on these pieces.

Japanese Poster No. 1 and No. 4

Zeppelin No. 1 and No. 5

Each 11-by-15-inch archival giclee print is $38. As with all of the art for sale at BlueFlip, 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to charity -- in this case, Action Against Hunger.

See all of Doval's new BlueFlip prints right here -- and check out more of his work here.

The Artful Home: New Kareem Rizk at BlueFlip Art

Kareem Rizk's beautiful, open-edition giclee bird prints have been so popular that Matt over at BlueFlip Art just added two more: Bird No. 3, left, and Bird No. 6, right.

The 9-by-11-inch archival prints are $25 each, or you can get the whole set of six for $125 (a $25 savings) when you enter coupon code "KAREEMSIX" at checkout.

As always, BlueFlip will donate 10 percent of all sales to a charity of the artist's choosing -- in this case, Australia's Starlight Children's Foundation.

The Artful Home: Amy Kligman Prints

BlueFlip Art is kicking off the new year with the addition of three prints from Kansas City, Missouri artist Amy Kligman, whose work is described thusly:

"Amy paints scenes that at first glance seem like they could be from a children's book but upon closer examination take a slight turn to the creepy." That had me at hello.

Top: Little Screams archival giclee print, limited edition of 100, $25; above, Fields and What I Think of When I See Them, $20; below: Surrounded, $20.

A portion of each sale benefits the Smile Train, which provides free corrective surgery to children around the world with cleft lip and palate.

Deal of the Day: BlueFlip Prints

The holiday discounts just keep comin'. The lastest is from BlueFlip Art, which is offering 20 percent off of purchases of $50 or more. Use coupon code HOLIDAY20 at checkout. (And in case you missed it, I'm updating and reposting my recent write-up of BlueFlip here.)

I got an email last night from Matt Regan, telling me about a site he runs called BlueFlip Art.

In Matt's own words, "BlueFlip sells high-quality prints of great works by cool artists and illustrators that are priced with the goal to get them into the hands of as many people as possible -- nothing is over $45, and many prints are under $20."

Each high-resolution, Giclee-quality archival print is reproduced on heavy cotton paper. Even better, 10 percent of the sale price is donated to charities of the artists' choice, such as UNICEF, Greenpeace, the Nature Conservancy, and others. Can't beat that.

Some of my favorites from BlueFlip's online gallery:

The Origin of Symmetry limited-edition print, $30, by Manuel Lariño

The Alchemy of Love Songs limited-edition print, $30, by John Shipman

Natural Beauty, $40, by Richard Wilkinson

Guitar Fawn, $15, by Daniel Lim

A Walk in the Forest, $40, by Si Clark

E o Amor, $32, by Eduardo Recife

Beau Brummels, $36, by Jesse Lefkowitz

Disappearing Act, $32, by Dan May
