It is my #2, after Blue Bottle (#1) and before Intelligentsia. We order Stumptown beans online and highly recommend them. I am so jealous because I've been planning to go on a eat and drink tour of Portland for a year and just haven't done it. Ace Hotel, that's where I want to stay. I'm off to show husband this post and pester about booking tickets.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00555809326725178941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1549907091994594204.post-36947474388205571882008-03-15T08:05:00.000-07:002008-03-15T08:05:00.000-07:00Let me invite you to taste some of Oakland's fine ...Let me invite you to taste some of Oakland's fine artisan chocolates. I am so loving all the good food that is happening up here. If you visit again make sure to try Toro Bravo, my favorite new restaurant.

I saw you went to Cacao...their spicy drinking chocolate is sex in a cup. 4 blocks up from them is a tiny shop called Sahagun that makes all their own chocolate (the owner looks like Amelie from the movie). She makes these salted caramels that are unlike anything out there...they explode in your mouth. My friend and I usually get 1 each and walk over to Cacao to top it off with drinking chocolate. Food is my weakness! Sahagun's site is:

http://www.sahagunchocolates.com/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1549907091994594204.post-5320872272602123952008-03-14T14:54:00.000-07:002008-03-14T14:54:00.000-07:00I hope you tried the tapioca balls at Saucebox -- ...I hope you tried the tapioca balls at Saucebox -- my husband was the chef there for a few years and introduced that recipe after a trip to Asia.
